KUWAIT TRIATHLON JUNIORS ACADEMY

OUR MISSION

Our Junior triathlon development program provides junior athletes with the opportunity to increase their skills, technique and fitness in a supportive, friendly training environment. We welcome juniors from 6 and over to join our junior triathlon program to progress them through our skill development program at an appropriate rate for their ability and physical maturity.

Our aim is to provide a fun environment for training and we also encourage participation in local & international events and races.


INQUIRY

What does it involve?

Tri involves swimming, cycling, running and the 4th discipline - transition (how to move quickly from one discipline to another - against the clock!). They will learning running technique and how to ride a bike safely and quickly, including how to use gears correctly, mounting and dismounting at speed. In the pool, we will help you improve your child's technique to make them a more proficient swimmer.


Kids Program (6 -9 Years)

We focus on all the fundamental movement skills – agility, balance, coordination, speed, running, jumping, gliding, buoyancy, throwing, catching, kicking and hitting which encourages successful participation in any sport.

Juniors Development Program (10-13)

The primary focus of our junior triathlon program is on skill development. We make sure that our sessions are fun, inclusive and focus on improving the fundamentals of swimming, cycling and running.

Youth Performance

Athletes will engage in a more structured training environment, learn skills to help them compete in draft-legal races, understand the rules of this style of racing, and be more accountable for learning what is necessary to perform their best. Proper nutrition strategies, strength training protocols, equipment choices and bike maintenance are all essential parts of the program.
